The film is a story of hope, fragility and interconnected futures, where humans & wildlife live within blurred boundaries of a shared wilderness. A land that has challenged conventional notions of wilderness and showcased nature's remarkable ability to adapt and thrive in a new wilderness.
This is a story of India's very first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, one of Asia's most studied areas. The Nilgiris is the first feature length documentary to receive a nationwide theatrical release. The film has already won multiple international awards and received acclaim for its cinematic excellence and storytelling.

Looking back, the journey feels almost inevitable. Living through it, it was anything but.
This year asked us to step into uncertainty, to trust instinct over assurance, and to let the landscape lead the story. Along the way, voices from across India joined the journey — audiences who showed up, spoke up, and reminded us why these stories matter.
